No. Laboxin supplies universities, companies and private individuals on the same terms. You do not need a purchase order, an institutional email address or an account manager — you can order directly through the shop like any other online purchase.

An account is not required to place an order, but creating one lets you see your order history and track deliveries from your account page. You can also check an order without an account using the order tracking page.

Prices are shown in euro, excluding VAT. Swedish VAT of 25% is added at checkout, as Swedish law requires for goods sold from Sweden.

All orders are paid in advance: we process an order once payment has been received, so we cannot offer payment on invoice. For company purchases, contact us before you order.

We ship with UPS, and every parcel is insured. The cost depends on the destination and the size of the parcel: glassware is light but bulky once it is packed safely, so size matters more than weight.

Your exact shipping cost is calculated at checkout from the items in your cart and your delivery country, and the shipping cost chart shows typical prices by region. After you order, we tell you the lead time and when your order is scheduled for delivery.

Import rules and charges are the buyer’s responsibility. Before you order, please check that the items may be imported into your country and what that will cost. Any customs duties, import VAT, taxes or clearance fees charged on delivery are paid by the buyer and are not included in our prices or shipping costs.

Every piece is wrapped in bubble wrap and packed in a sturdy corrugated box with padding, so nothing can touch or move in transit. Insurance is added to every shipment, to protect both you and us if something breaks on the way.

Yes. Laboxin distributes Synthware, and everything in the Synthware range is original Synthware glassware.

No. Synthware is our specialist range for synthesis and air-sensitive work, but we also stock general labware: beakers, Erlenmeyer flasks, reagent and amber bottles, measuring cylinders, volumetric flasks, test tubes, crystallising dishes, watch glasses, pipettes and fillers, and rubber tubing. Alongside that there is our second-hand stock. If you need something that is not listed, send us the details and we will try to source it.

The 3.3 is the glass’s coefficient of linear thermal expansion, 3.3 × 10⁻⁶ K⁻¹. Ordinary soda-lime glass is nearly three times higher, which is why it cracks under temperature changes that borosilicate shrugs off. Borosilicate 3.3 also sits in the highest class for water and acid resistance. The full property set, the temperature limits and an honest list of what will damage it are in the material guide.

Match the first number, then the second. The first is the cone diameter in millimetres at its widest point, the second is the ground length. 24/40 and 24/29 both start at 24 mm and will physically engage, but they are not a standard pair and should not be trusted under vacuum. The joints guide has a fit checker that draws any two joints to scale and tells you whether they mate.

It depends on what you are retaining. P2 is the general-purpose grade for crystalline precipitates, P3 the most common for analytical filtration, P4 for fine precipitates and P5 for bacterial filtration. Grades are rated by maximum pore size, so retention is not a clean cut-off. The porosity guide has the full table, the ASTM cross-reference and a simulator you can test your own case against.

If your existing glassware uses standard taper or spherical joints of the same size, yes. Every standard taper joint shares the same 1:10 taper regardless of manufacturer, so the brands interchange as long as the sizes match. Where they do not match, a reducing or expanding adapter almost always exists.

The Synthware catalogue is larger than the selection in the shop. If you need a size, port configuration or joint combination you cannot find, send us the specification and we will tell you whether it can be sourced and what it would cost.

Yes. We regularly acquire previously owned laboratory glassware and equipment, inspect every piece, and list what is sound. Prices start at around €5, and stock is limited to what we currently hold. See how second-hand works or browse what is in stock.

Second-hand glassware is neither sterile nor food-safe, and cosmetic wear is normal. The full condition statement is on every product page.

Use the order tracking page with your order number and the email address you ordered with, or sign in to your account.

Every shipment is insured, so damage in transit is covered. Photograph the parcel before and while you open it, then the damaged items, and contact us at mail@laboxin.com within one week of receiving it. The photos are needed for the claim with the shipping company, which issues the refund for the damaged goods. How damage claims work.

Private customers in Sweden and the rest of the EU can return items within 14 days of receiving them. The buyer pays the return shipping, and please pack the glassware carefully so it arrives back undamaged. Returns are not available for business purchases or deliveries outside the EU.
